It’s just a short drive to Carter’s Lake and about 15 minutes to Blue Ridge. Downtown offers great restaurants and lots of local shops.

High river community
Our High River mountain houses are on 3+ acres*, have community access to water (creek, river, and lake), and offer beautiful views from the house and/or the property. The minute you pull in to the community you'll see the beauty of the North Georgia Mountains.
Enjoy a fire in the fire pit, relax on the porch or deck with a favorite beverage, or walk around the community and enjoy some of the public areas. The community of 300+ is a mix of permanent residents, vacationers, and rentals.
High River is spread out over 1200 acres. Whether you're looking for peace & quiet, water features, hiking, or just want to see the mountain sunrise/sunset, you'll find it at High River.
*Homes in the Lake LeCroy area have less than 3 acres of land.

High River has a lot more to offer than just the amazing views of the North GA Mountains. The community pavilion, pictured above, provides a get together space with views of the Coosawatte River. In front of the pavilion is riverside seating and a large firepit for everyone to enjoy.
There are many walking trails and lots of sitting space in community park areas...all with firepits to enjoy. Hop in Mountaintown Creek at the canoe launch and get out in front of the pavilion area (all on property)...it's about a 45 minute tubing experience!
The small private community lake, Lake LeCroy, is great for fishing, paddling around, or just lounging at the lakeside covered area. There's also a private sitting area with firepit on the opposite side of the lake from the covered pavilion.
Who is High River Properties?
We are a family who loves spending time in the North GA mountains. After years of visiting different areas in the southeast, we decided Ellijay, GA was our spot. We love to hike, tube down the river, camp at Carter's Lake, eat in downtown Ellijay & Blue Ridge, visit the wineries, pick apples at the orchards, play at the festivals, and meet new friends around town. Sometimes we just sit on the porch and enjoy the views or make smores over the fire and look at the stars.
We are currently working on multiple houses in Ellijay, GA. We have a few more projects in line in Gilmer County and Fannin County Georgia.
We offer most of our houses as off market deals. We often work directly with buyers, but we understand the work that realtors put in to each and every transaction. We invite buyer's agents to bring their clients. We can schedule a showing, set up an open house, or work with agents to (possibly) be on site to answer questions and show all that our communities have to offer. We will pay buyer's agent commissions on both land and home sales.
